A street frame from Puri, Odisha. We took an autorickshaw from Puri bus stand to Puri beach. When the vehicle started moving fast, I saw this exact frame in my head, the only worry was I had a doubt whether this could be captured on the phone as I did not have my camera with me. I decided to leave the settings on auto and focus on the rickshaw-wala so that it would go into night mode. Going into night mode made the shutter close slow, which enabled the blur.
Sun Kissed Ferns. Captured while taking a walk through a pine forest. The sun rays were hitting certain sections on the floor of the pine forest; noticed a few ferns that were hit by sunlight, the sections of leaves were lit by sunlight accentuating the colours in the leaves.
Waterfall view from Gap Road, Munnar. A 12 image composition stitched together in Lightroom. Wanted to capture a better view to be honest.
Show Puneet (@thruthatlens) a camera and he will pose. He’s so good that he’ll candidly pose. :D
The photographers eye. This was captured during our jeep ride to Kolukkumalai peak.
Munnar Town from Gap Road. We stationed here for a while to get s wide view of Munnar town. I could have gone further wide but it was tricky to balance sudden bursts of light from oncoming vehicles.
Sands of Time - In nature nothing is permanent, things change at different paces. Some patterns are etched for long while others fade fast. This is quite parallel to human life which itself is a part of nature. I had this precise thought in my mind while I was hunting for patterns in sand, so I captured this as a representation of my thoughts.
Jupiter & Light Trails - A view from Munnar. We stopped to get some blue hour photographs near this point. I couldn’t get decent shots, so I resorted to shooting some light trails and here’s a photograph.
Kolukkumalai in social media is all about the one peak and the leopard shaped rock. However if you face that peak and look towards the left you can observe these peaks and a canyon. When I first saw it, I just breathed in the feeling of peace amidst all the chaos’s that ensues in Kolukkumalai peak. I was reminded of the beautiful Laitlum Canyon in Meghalaya, I felt the warmth I felt there and the morning motorcycle ride with my wife to Laitlum. Also look towards the west side when you’re waiting for sunrise at Kolukkumalai. I talked about Laitlum to Himadri (@himadri_bhuyan) and he told it looks similar. And I’m sure Puneet (@thruthatlens) has some amazing frames of this canyon as he was shooting from a different location than us.
